FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE // April 13, 2016
KANSAS CITY, MO — Fervor, a Kansas City-based strategic marketing agency, announced today Lori Zehr as its Senior Brand Manager. With a prograde focus on client relationships, Zehr brings 17 years’ experience leading organizations large and small, national and hyper-local, for-profit and non-profit.
Fervor Founder and Chief Strategist Mike Farag is pleased to welcome Zehr to the team. “Lori brings unparalleled expertise in cross-functional marketing. It’s not everyday you meet someone with her client relationship experience and her brand strategy ability.”
Farag and Zehr have immediate plans for bringing creative strategy to top-tier non-profit agencies and businesses, providing impact-driven brand assessments across these sectors. Their shared experience, global perspectives and passion will guide clients towards greater revenues.
Zehr was drawn to Fervor for many reasons, including the firm’s reputation for helping clients make an impact bigger than the bottom line. “As I was doing my own research on Fervor, the word ‘impact’ came up constantly, and that spoke to me,” Zehr explains. “I’m encouraged and excited by Mike’s bold confidence in his clients and in his team. The possibilities with Fervor clients and creatives seem endless, and that’s exhilarating.”
Zehr earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing and International Business from Iowa State University, then her MBA from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. She has worked in marketing and sales for many industries, launching her career at Caterpillar in field marketing for the engine division . Since then, she’s done everything from real estate to marketing for Babies”R”Us to nonprofit work. One of her favorite roles was with f’real, when she marketed milkshakes for a living.
Most recently, Zehr was Executive Director of Retail for The GO Exchange (wholly owned by The Global Orphan Project, headquartered here in KC). In her role, she led a team of 40+ ambassadors, redesigned their direct sales program, and helped create multiple new sales tools including the organization’s first-ever retail catalog. Zehr also worked closely with production partners in Haiti and Uganda to develop new products.
Zehr’s role at Fervor will be both client and creative-facing. “My goal is to be a strong connecting point between Fervor and our clients. To truly listen and understand their needs, and deliver impact through new, creative strategies. These are already core competencies for Fervor, so I’m thrilled to be part of this team. I feel that if we build on what we’re doing well already, we’ll continue to grow exponentially — and so will Fervor’s clients,” she says.
