#FirstFriday4Good: Meet the Westside venues!
This year, Fervor’s Westside neighbors are participating in our First Friday for Good on December 1. Every venue has committed a portion of their First Friday for Good proceeds to a nonprofit they love. Together, we’re making more impact for local KC nonprofits. Meet the #FirstFriday4Good Westside venues.
Blue Bird Bistro is a go-to staple for Fervor creatives and clients alike. Blue Bird Bistro specializes in local and organic ingredients, a philosophy that they stand by from the kitchen to the bar. Enjoy their farm-to-table dining at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Fervor favorites include the Bison Burger and Moroccan Stew.
Chez Elle Creperie, located in the newly-converted historic Summit theater building, serves savory and sweet crepes and robust coffees. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses come together in their made from scratch batter. Fervor favorites include the dessert Paris Crepe (yes to Nutella!) and the famous Lobster Bisque.
If it’s 2:00 and the Fervor team is missing, it’s probably because we’re down the street at Goat Hill Coffee & Soda for an afternoon pick-me-up. Goat Hill serves Messenger coffee along with teas and ciders. Drop by Goat Hill to warm up in chill vibes.
MADI — which stands for Make a Difference Intimate Apparel — is the only lingerie brand focused on positively impacting ALL areas of the underwear industry. Why? Underwear is the most needed, under-donated clothing item in the US. Buy any MADI product on First Friday for Good, MADI will donate a panty to SAFEHOME KC. MADI items make a meaningful gift for any woman you love.
Since 2009, The Westside Local has combined local ingredients and creativity in a classy-casual environment. Enjoy a cocktail from their menu entirely named after Tom Hanks movies. We recommend pretty much everything on the menu, but especially the fries. Not convinced? The Westside Local topped Fervor’s list for best patios in KC. (Don’t worry, there are space heaters if you want to check it out in December.)
Where can you find local goods from local makers with antiques sprinkled in? At our neighbor, Westside Storey. It’s the perfect spot to shop for KC-pride gifts from apparel to home gifts. Fervor Favorites include the KC baseball hats and tees. Grab your Christmas gifts at Westside Storey.
Pro-Tip: Enjoy a progressive dinner date night with drinks & appetizers, main course, dessert and coffee all at different #FirstFriday4Good Westside venues. Pick up your Passport for Good at any of the venues and adventure around the neighborhood for more opportunities to #giveback and win prizes.
Spread the word with our Facebook event — and we’ll see you December 1 in the Westside for First Friday for Good. #FirstFriday4Good
