About Fiorella's
Fiorella’s Jack Stack is a fourth-generation family business. Russ Fiorella started it all with a small storefront barbecue in 1957, and they’ve grown to serve guests at five Kansas City restaurants and ship barbecue all over the country. But it wasn’t enough. They wanted an event space where they could host truly special events. Somewhere big groups could celebrate, and big memories could be made. Somewhere that had room for the largest gatherings but still felt like home. Enter: Fiorella’s, a premier event space in South Johnson County in Kansas City, the newest chapter in their long history of real hospitality.

When Fiorella’s wanted to create a complementary brand to their iconic Jack Stack Barbecue, they came to us to help tell their story. They needed to help people understand that at their new Fiorella’s event space, they could count on the same standard of quality and hospitality that they had come to expect from Jack Stack over the years, but that Fiorella’s was more than “just” barbecue. They also needed a way to bring their space to life while it was still under construction so that event planners, couples planning a wedding, and anyone else looking for a space to plan their event could imagine it in their space and want to book there.
We partnered with Fiorella’s on a full suite of brand identity materials, and a key piece was a 3-minute “About Us” video. The video focuses on the long and successful history of the Fiorella family and their “why” behind creating this new space—a commitment to provide true hospitality to people hosting large events. Through renderings, concept photos, and thoughtful descriptions, it helps potential customers imagine their event coming to life at Fiorella’s. And it features their head chef, highlighting his experience and range of culinary skill to demonstrate that guests would experience true culinary excellence that branches beyond barbecue.
Fiorella’s was thrilled with the end result, which helped bring their new space to life before it opened. And we were honored to be part of the story and success of one of Kansas City’s most iconic brands.
