About Armed Services Ministry
The American Bible Society’s comprehensive Armed Services Ministry is designed to meet the needs of Service members, Veterans, and their families. The number one provider of Scriptural resources to the U.S. Armed Forces, the Armed Services Ministry has been serving the military for more than 200 years. The Armed Services Ministry team of Chaplains and Veterans creates and provides materials to support the faith journeys of those who serve because they have a unique understanding of the challenges Service members face. Hero Squad was launched to support military kids and their parents. Strong like their parents, these kids also face a different set of challenges than most do. Hero Squad aims to help support these children and teens, providing fun and engaging activities that bring the Bible to life and offer them faith, hope, and purpose through God’s truth.
Fervor + Armed Services Ministry
Fervor has been fortunate to work with the Armed Services Ministry on several occasions, and this was a great opportunity to help them build a website for an exciting new program! We began our multifaceted process by working through several information-gathering sessions with the client. From these conversations, we crafted a strategic plan for the site, outlining key content, functions, and identified user needs. Once we were all in agreement on the plan, we began the full site build.
Working alongside the client as they developed the Hero Squad brand and materials, Fervor was able to adjust and adapt in real time, incorporating emerging information into the website work. The web presence that developed offered users an experience that is conversational, informational, and fun. One of the more unique ways we accomplished this was through a smart contact form that guides users through a series of questions to help them request the information most relevant to them. By creating an engaging and interactive experience, we aimed to keep user interest and conversion rates high.
We followed up with quality assurance testing and the Hero Squad website successfully launched in September of 2020. Since its launch, Hero Squad has actually exceeded its enrollment goals and now supports a waiting list to bring on more kids as the program expands. Most importantly, military kids are now receiving a unique service and support tailored just for them. We’re proud and humbled to have helped the Armed Services Ministry serve these amazing kids and their families!
