About the Herzog Foundation
The goal of the Stanley M. Herzog Charitable Foundation is to catalyze and accelerate the development of quality, Christ-centered K-12 education so that families and culture flourish.
By identifying areas of growth and gaps in the Christian education space, and linking arms with Christian education leaders, they’re working to build effective, scalable programs all across the nation. They offer on-going support through online content and news, training and events, grants, and hands-on organizational improvement initiatives.
Fervor + the Herzog Foundation
Marketing Training to Support Christian School Leaders
Seeing a growing national movement among parents to reclaim their children’s education for Christ, the Herzog Foundation launched their first Marketing Bootcamp intensives in 2021. Christian school leaders from around the country were invited to gather in several cities to grasp an overall understanding of best practices for marketing their schools.
The Herzog Foundation reached out to Fervor to assist in updating their presentation materials and invited Fervor CEO Mike Farag to join them as a coach for bootcamps in Atlanta, Kansas City and other areas throughout 2022. With a bit of tag-teaming alongside other coaches and the Foundation crew, Mike walks school leaders through fun activities to help them expand their perspective of what marketing can do. He then takes deeper dives into who their best target audiences are. Leaders feel empowered to clarify their school’s messaging for specific audiences — both parents and advocates — who can choose their school and also champion them to others.
Leaders also get the advantage of meeting one-on-one with bootcamp presenters who help answer their questions and guide them through creating a marketing strategy specific to their school. Each leader walks away with a workable marketing plan, including messaging, goals, implementation strategies and more.
We’re excited about what the Herzog Foundation is doing. We look forward to seeing the results of what training Christian school leaders in marketing can do to grow the education movement happening all over the country — for students of all ages, parents, teachers and those called to make a difference in the education space.
